Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Ratti Gali Lake trek difficult?

It's a moderate trek — about 4-5 hours each way. You can hire horses for most of the route. Basic fitness is enough. The trail is well-marked and local guides are available in Kel.

Can we skip the trek and still enjoy the tour?

Absolutely! Arang Kel, Kel, Sharda, and the entire Neelum Valley drive are stunning even without the Ratti Gali trek. The chairlift to Arang Kel is an easy alternative adventure.

What documents do we need?

Pakistani citizens need their CNIC (national identity card). Foreign nationals need a passport and may need an NOC (No Objection Certificate) — contact us and we'll guide you through the process.

Is the road to Kel safe?

Yes, the road is safe but narrow in some sections. Our drivers are experienced with Neelum Valley roads. We drive carefully and take the route at a safe pace. Landslides can occasionally cause delays during heavy rain.

Can families with children do this tour?

Yes! Families regularly visit Neelum Valley. Skip the Ratti Gali trek with very young children, but Arang Kel (via chairlift), Keran, and Sharda are all family-friendly. The valley drive itself is spectacular.
